Perfect for my Samsung Omnia,

I had used an air-vent mount before this and my phone would slide from side to side on the vent slats whenever I took a turn. Also, looking down towards an air vent took my eyes too far away from the road for comfort, especially when navigating a new city in the rain at night.
This friction mount is perfect. I've never had the thing move, even during brisk acceleration on those clover leaf on-ramps to the interstate. It came with a hook on a sticky pad that you're supposed to attach to your dash, but it's really unnecessary.
For my Samsung Omnia, I ended up removing the two small feet at the bottom of the cell phone mount. I did this because the two side arms which grip the phone were covering the charging port. Now I'm able to move my phone down in the mount enough to where the port isn't being covered. It was an easy modification and the arms by themselves are all that are really needed.
The arms are on a ratcheted spring. To secure your phone, you simply squeeze the arms together. To remove, there is a button that releases the arms and they'll spring back to their maximum width. Very easy, very fast, and very secure.
